Our story

Built from a simple need: someone you can trust back home.

REAL FAMILY PHOTO REQUIRED

Roots & Seva began with a simple observation.

Many families living outside India still want to honour their parents, grandparents and traditions through seva. Sometimes the tradition is still very familiar. Sometimes it is not. Perhaps you remember your elders speaking about Amavasya, a parent's annual tithi or Anna Daan, but the practice gradually became less familiar as the family moved across cities, countries and generations. The intention to remember is still there — even when the practical knowledge of what to do is not.

When you live thousands of kilometres away, finding someone locally who will actually take responsibility for arranging it — on the right day, with care, and honestly — can be difficult.

We are a family based in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Roots & Seva was created to bridge that distance in a very simple way: we personally arrange the sevas we accept here in Indore and share the acknowledgement with the family afterwards.

We are not only helping bridge the distance to India. Sometimes we are also helping bridge the distance to a tradition. Understanding what a day means can be the first step toward carrying forward what still feels meaningful.

We would rather do fewer sevas properly than promise what we cannot personally stand behind.

How we work

A family-run service from Indore.

For Gau Seva, we can personally visit an established gaushala in or near Indore.

For Brahman Bhojan, we can arrange fresh satvik bhojan thalis and take them to an appropriate temple for offering to Brahmans.

For Anna Daan, we can purchase or prepare agreed packets of food staples and personally take them to a suitable temple.

We do not need a nationwide network to do this well. We would rather remain close enough to personally take responsibility for every seva we accept.

Who arranges your seva

The person taking care of your seva in Indore.

A member of our family personally handles the local arrangements — preparing what is needed, visiting the gaushala or temple on the agreed day, and documenting the seva for you.

Not a generic team or an anonymous platform — a person you can actually speak to, taking care of something that matters to your family.
