Roots & Seva is a family-run seva arrangement service based in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. This policy explains what information we collect and why.
Information we may collect
When you contact us or arrange a seva, you may share:
- your name;
- your country;
- your WhatsApp number;
- your email address;
- the seva you have chosen;
- the name of the person being remembered or honoured;
- gotra (optional);
- the date or tithi and related details;
- any additional note you provide;
- a payment status or reference from our payment processor.
How we use it
- to respond to your request;
- to arrange the seva you have asked for;
- to communicate with you about it;
- to document completion and share the acknowledgement;
- to keep reasonable records of what was arranged;
- to send future reminders only where you have specifically asked us to.
Payments
Where a payment is made, it is handled through a payment provider using a secure payment link. Payment-card information should be handled by that provider — Roots & Seva does not intentionally collect or store your full card details.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your information. To arrange a seva, limited details may be shared with the people or establishments involved (for example a gaushala or temple) and with service providers such as our payment processor, only as needed to carry out your request.
Keeping your seva private
Nothing about your seva is shared publicly — on our website or social media — without your explicit permission. See our approach to consent on the Transparency page.
Retention
We keep the information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain records and meet any legal obligations, and then for a reasonable period afterwards.
Your choices
You can ask us to correct or delete your information, or to stop sending reminders. Contact us using the details on our Contact page and we will do our best to help.
Security
We take reasonable care to protect the information you share. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we aim to handle your details responsibly.
