Remember someone through a seva carried in their name.
Remember a parent, grandparent or ancestor through an act of seva.
For a parent, grandparent or ancestor's annual tithi, you may choose one or more of the sevas Roots & Seva can personally arrange in Indore. Tell us whom you are remembering and the applicable date or tithi — you can then choose the seva you would like arranged in their memory.
What is an annual tithi?
In many Hindu traditions, the annual remembrance of a departed family member follows the lunar tithi associated with the person's passing. This is different from simply observing the same Gregorian calendar date each year. Family practices vary, so where a formal Shraddha is involved, families should follow their own tradition or priest's guidance. Read more about the annual tithi →
What Roots & Seva can arrange
- Gau Seva
- Anna Daan
- Brahman Bhojan
- A combination of the above
What Roots & Seva does not claim to provide
We want to be clear about what we are and are not offering. We do not perform formal Shraddha, Pind Daan, Tarpan, or priest-led ancestral rites. What we arrange is a separate act of seva, carried in a loved one's name — offered honestly, without any promise of a particular spiritual outcome.
If your family already performs Shraddha
If your family performs formal Shraddha elsewhere, Roots & Seva can still arrange a separate act of seva in the person's memory. The two should not be presented as the same thing — a seva can gently accompany your family's own observance, not replace it.
